Multiple ways to reduce size of an image

Method 1:

Open the images with paint -> save ((CTRL+S)) close it.

Check the image size before and after the process.

Method 2:

How to reduce jpeg image file size below 10Kb??

For many government examinations, they require image file size less than 5 – 20kb. For such processing, following methods can be used

1. Open Paint application. (Go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Paint)

2. Open your jpeg image having image size more than 10Kb in paint (Goto File -> Open -> Select the jpeg file -with size >10 Kb)

3. Save that jpeg image as bitmap image with .bmp extension this will remove the excess information stored in jpeg without degrading the quality of the jpeg image.

4. Now open the same bitmap image saved in step 3 in paint and save the image now as jpeg image with .jpeg extension.

5. Finally, go to your re save jpeg image file and Right click -> Properties.

Method 3:

How to reduce size of multiple images at a time

Using Photoshop, we can reduce multiple image sizes at a time.

1. Put all the images you want to reduce the size into a folder (may be 100 or 1000).

2. Open photoshop -> file -> scripts -> image processor -> select the folder name -> click run.

3. All the images will be reduced are saved in the same source folder as separate folder (JPEG).

We can modify the size, width, height of the image as we wish. For similar reduced copy of our image, no need to change any setting in quality or height and width.
