New Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) will enter its seventh edition this year, but one of the most sought after teams, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is still waiting for their maiden league title.

The Bangalore based franchise has been part of the cash-rich cricket league since its first season. In fact, on two occasions they reached the finals (2010 and 2011) but failed to capitalise and ended up as runner ups on both the occasions.

RCB has been known for its strong batting line up and in the upcoming season too they will have a strong bunch of hard-hitters in their team, who are capable of changing the course of the game single handedly. Before the IPL-7 auction, they first retained their three dynamic batsmen in Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle and then during the auction crossed the limits to have the dynamic Yuvraj Singh in their team. And finally they bought the southpaw at the highest price of 14 crore.

It means this year too RCB will heavily rely on its power-packed batting line up. But for a change they will have more than a decent bowling line up as well. If in Ravi Rampaul, Albie Morkel, Mitchell Starc and Ashok Dinda they have handful of fast bowlers then they also have an experienced spinner in Muttiah Muralitharan to strengthen their bowling department.

Now can a well balanced RCB manage to lift the trophy this time around under the captaincy of Virat Kohli is yet to be seen.
